I have had knockout roses for the last 4 years in our garden, suddenly I had one just die within a matter of days and another that looks like it's going to bite the dust too. The watering is the same as previous years and the rest of the bed, the soil is routinely enriched, so I am clueless as to their demise. Do they have a short life cycle ?

Video reply: Why dry roots in need of water are probably the cause of browning roses; how to accommodate the large size of knockout roses; why you shouldn't prune back these roses too extensively.

Knockout roses, as with most roses, are hungry feeders and do well in clay soil which retains plant nutrients and water.
