A versatile culinary herb, this onion relative also has pretty pink flowers and its clumping foliage make it at home in any garden -- ornamental or edible.

  • Easy

This easily grown perennial can be direct seeded by broadcasting seed and lightly covering in soil in spring and fall or existing clumps can be divided every few years. Harvesting the foliage for salads and garnishes will result in more, healthier and larger plants. Over the hot summer months, remove flowers in a timely manner to prevent the plants going into dormancy.
