Autumn Giant types are grown traditionally throughout Western Europe. Fine-flavored, mid-season variety for harvest through autumn. Leaves have a medium-green color; broad white shank is of medium length. Stands in winter in milder climates, harvest by December elsewhere.

Leek—Sow seed indoors in late winter. Sprinkle on soil surface, barely covering, and keep moist until the thread-like seedlings emerge.
