  • Full sun
  • Medium
  • High

Grow in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers moderately fertile, slightly acidic soil. Avoid heavy clay soils which tend to waterlog easily. Needs full sun for maximum flower and fruit production. More than one variety must be planted in order to facilitate best pollination and subsequent fruit production. Red Fuji is only winter hardy to Zone 6, so it requires extra protection when grown in the St. Louis area.
