ëPink Sensation is a compact cultivar of the Japanese snowball or sterile species form. It is a dense, upright, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub that typically matures to 6-10 tall and as wide. Non-fragrant, pink sterile flowers in dense globular inflorescences (to 3î across) bloom along the branches in spring (May). No fruit is produced. Ovate, dark green leaves (to 3î long). Attractive red to burgundy fall color. This cultivar may be synonymous with V. p. ëRoseace and V. p. ëKerns Pink.

Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Prefers moist loams, but tolerates wide range of soils and has good drought tolerance. Prune as needed immediately after flowering.
