ëLEUKAL 01 is a patented Shasta daisy cultivar that is commonly sold under the trade name of GOLDRAUSCH (GOLD RUSH in English). Fringed, two-toned, daisy-like, semi-double flowers bloom in June-July atop compact, sturdy, upright, flower stems that rise to only 15î tall. Each flower (to 3 1/2î diameter) features a bright yellow center ringed by short light yellow inner petals and longer white outer petals. Medium green leaves (to 5î long) are generally lanceolate. Leucanthemums were formerly included in the genus Chrysanthemum. U.S. Plant Patent PP15,204 was issued October 5, 2004.

Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. Good soil drainage is essential. Wet soils in winter can be fatal. Tolerates some light shade, particularly in hot summer climates. Remove spent flower heads to promote additional bloom. Divide clumps as needed (every 2-3 years) to maintain vigor. Plants are somewhat short-lived. Consider cutting stems back to basal leaves after flowering to preserve plant energies and perhaps prolong plant life.
