Since I am on vacation this week from work, I feel like I am starting to get things to the point I am happy with them. I mowed grass, I fertilized with fish emulsion, and I both cut and pulled weeds. So today I went around with my bag of bone meal fertilizer and side-dressed all the root crops. I will do the fish emulsion tomorrow, together with putting down some diamataceous earth. I may have to spray something - neem oil or the 'cidal soap stuff on the bean plants too. Something has been nibbling quite a bit on the leaves....

So, went around the beds with the little green weedeater tonight when I got home from work. The strawberries have bloomed like crazy. Put some chicken wire over the broccoli bed. The cat decided he wanted to dig up the little zucchini plant I just transplanted - bad kitty! Basically I'm hungry and I'm pooped.

I used the first of the little cabbages in supper tonight. Cabbage tastes a little different when it is out of the garden. I am waiting to see if the other little cabbages will grow up some more.
