    Hi AdamsCrestFarm, Hope you had a good holiday and it's not too cold where you are.  Thought I'd mention that there is another permaculture garden going on in Massachusettes on the site, and they are bringing in shavings and building a coop for the hens.  You may want to have a look.  Nika, the MA gardener is looking closely at your swirls for ideas.
