That looks nice.  Are you bagging it to freeze it??
Agrarian replied 10 months ago
Nope, just bagged it to give to the local food bank.

Looks good.  Your zucchinis look like mine... Big!  :) :)    I really like them this size, as I use alot of zucchini.
Agrarian replied 10 months ago
They have been huge (and tasty)! Unfortunately, most of our plants are now dead - taken by borers and squash bugs.
JMTKMS replied 10 months ago
Some of my plants have been dying, I do not see bug damage, but maybe that is it.  I have seen squash bugs.  :(   On the other hand, I have lots of plants and I have zucchini coming out of m... more ยป
Garden Ratatouille over Polenta Jul 30, 2012
Activity-icon-status

This weekend we made garden ratatouille over polenta. Every ingredient came from a garden in my town (pop. 14,000), except for the garlic, olive oil, cheese and polenta. Ratatouille is one of my favorite dishes and, served over polenta, it's a creamy, tasty and healthy meal.

Next year I am seriously considering planting a "ratatouille... ...see more

This sounds really good...  I know it sounds odd, but I have never had this before.  I think it is time to change that.  Thanks for the recipe.!
Agrarian replied 10 months ago
Hope you enjoy it! It really is a simple recipe and very delicious, especially after it's set overnight and the flavors have fully melded.

Just collected another huge harvest of chard. The local food bank is open tomorrow afternoon, so half of it will go there. The other half will get fried in some olive oil in a saute pan!

100+ degree weather since Sunday and lasting through this Saturday. It was up to 109 yesterday. So far the garden is holding up nicely.
MaryLarson replied 11 months ago
Yes, it has been a hot one. 90 degrees in Wisconsin on Thursday. You don't hear of that too often up here in the month of June. You have a wonderful garden. I will enjoy reading your posts on your garden show.

New Trellising System Installed Jun 17, 2012
Activity-icon-status

The method I chose utilizes 6 ft t-posts and twine/rope to secure the plants as they get taller and more weighty. In this case,... ...see more
