It think these will go for jam and perhaps a few table grapes if they're seedless. I started with only two vines to get my chops for grape growing. If I decide to grow for wine production, I'll probably order a specific variety, but I really don't have the capital for that sort of project right now. I do love wine, though!
@Annie Downing: I love wine too. I have a friend who grows and makes wine in California. I think I will just enjoy drinking the wine. We have wild grapes (mustang grapes) all over the place. Do you know of anything you can do with them?
Oh! You've actually hit an area of knowledge with me! I am very interested in wild eating and foraging. You can make wine or jelly/jam with mustang grapes. Obviously, the jelly would be the easier option. Yum yum!
@Clenram: Hehehe, I hope i didn't misrepresent myself. I'm no expert. Just always have my eyes and ears open for more wild food. I'm looking forward to the first crop of mesquite seed pods, 'cause I hear they make good flour!
