I've had best of luck with the Melon Charentais and the Juane Gros de Paris Pumpkins of the bunch I received for the GIF garden. I have other varieties of Baker Creek seeds growing, and have recently managed to get some of the Ukrainian Beauty eggplant seeds I received to germinate, but the first batch ended up getting too hot... ...see more

At least one of every variety has sprouted, though only one of the Telegraph Improved Cucumber and one of the Russian Red Kale so far - not sure why they're lagging behind the rest.

Do they actually get up to 18"?! I'm excited because my husband has taken up pickling and so any cucs are a sure hit since so far a more traditional (but homemade) pickle is my favorite kind.
