Ojo de Cabra are coming up, Six Week Purple cowpeas are up, the first few Okra are up...Sage is doing well, but nothing on the Papaya second planting...Hmmm...

It's been almost a month and every other set of seeds I've planted have come up, even the parsley! Not one of these guys germinated. I have a second set of seeds, I'll ask Baker tomorrow if they have any suggestions... |

| Planted indoors in a pot, because I'm not sure what the seedlings look like. Don't want to weed them out! Hopefully our bees will like these flowers... |

First I soaked the seeds, 6 of them. Then planted indoors. The nights are still too cool for tropicals. The packet had more seeds in it than expected :) Enough for a second trial if... more » |

Grow it Forward seeds arrived today, a BIG thank you to the Gettles at Baker Creek Heirloom seeds! Six week purple hull cowpeas, these will be easy with this climate and soil. Our garden originally fed just our family, then friends, extended family and pretty soon we were over stocked with vineripe heirloom tomatoes, apricots and pumpkins. No pesticides or commercial chemical fertilizers are used, just well composted manure, bone meal and a little Dr. Earth organic all purpose. Seeds are researched and we only grow Non-Gmo, there's no need for tomatoes to bear Flounder (yes, the fish) genes. We're ramping up production with the addition last fall of a bee hive and berry plants. We hope to supply vegetables for sale (wholesale) on a small, local scale, this year. Happy gardening,...
