We are busy here building a mobile chicken coop to move our birds into our pasture instead  of in our yard where we'd like to grow some veggies, flowers, herbs, etc!  The birds are so good at what they do that they have to move out for a while!  Will post the mobile coop photo as it is completed!  Off to finish pea trellis for this year (in a different garden).  The Cooper's hawk that lives across the street in the woods may have a nest... The Mom or Dad Cooper's hawk took at least 3 of our egg-laying hens this year in February, leaving nothing but a skeleton and pile of feathers except for the one attack that I interrupted...P.S.  The garlic looks so good!!

Hi Barefoot. Welcome to YourGardenShow! We're glad to have you here it's great to see what you are doing. I'm envious of all your garlic too. A friend of mine's Mother once said, "If it doesn't have garlic in it, it must be desert, ('cause it's not food)"! I agree with you 100%, you can never have too much garlic. Take  care...Tom

I'm a want-to-be full time gardener/farmer (almost there!).  We have 30 chickens producing large, brown, organic eggs that I sell to neighbors that are giving me $4/dozen due to their high quality!  The hens eat the Japanese beetles and stick bugs and turn those pests into yummy eggs!  I am now planting garlic (at least 200 cloves this year because you can never have too much garlic!) in mid-October.  Can't wait to get my hands dirty again!

Your garden is aptly named; it makes me want to come pick produce and get busy with harvest.

I love your Echinacea flowers, do you use them as an herbal remedy?
