You certainly get some nice bounty from your garden. Also, your tomato planting is a vision of perfection! I am entertaining planting a fig tree. How long have you had yours and what do you do to prepare it for a long winter?

We had the fig tree around 20 years. Last year we took a cutting for my daughter. It took off, but the harvest is very small. It takes 3 years or so to establish itself. As to winter, my husband together with my son, ties all branches together, wraps it with insulation and some plastic sheathing. Unwraps it towards the end of April.
