Warms my heart and gives me inspiration that we have gone over the hump of winter and are heading down the other side towards spring ! Nice photo ! ☺

@dreamwanderon:Thanks! I always plant early bulbs, so there's something going on even when winter seems to last forever!

@dreamwanderon: gorgeous & so cheerful! Come on, spring... here we still have a bit of snow but it is gradually melting.

You are lucky Claire!  I am just happy that we can see a little brownish green frozen grass - let's hope that the flowers will come soon!

I was not aware of a short stem iris that could be potted I love seeing how you have them planted and they are adding such early color to your space.  I have yellow iris but mine are the tall ones that bloom later in the season.

Are those pansies sprouting out amongst the iris?  I have had mine come up through the snow in my large pots.

@Naturalcraftr:Thanks for loving my irises - they really help me get through the winter! I planted the winter pansies on top of all of the bulbs I planted (you can see this in some of my Glog photos), because they also stay green throughout winter and blossom early. So now (Feb 28) my balcony is yellow and purple! Lovely!
