@Liz: It is really strange. It will work for a few min and then go completely dead. I have been having a great time. My brother is funny and my mom is so happy to see me. My brother is great with fruit trees. He has different types of apple and peach trees. Some of the peaches already have fruit forming. I took pictures...will post when I can. My mom is 87 and wants to do more than she can.
@Clenram: I'm clicking through pictures of a garden and all of a sudden it starts jumping out of order and then goes to a completely different set of pics. So it might be the computer you are using, but part of it is also the site. I'm looking forward to seeing all of your pictures. When are you going home?
@Liz: I should be back on my home High speed internet computer wed. afternoon. I will be more appreciati... about it for sure. I will be traveling Tues. I was going to go back home by my Cousins in Stephenville, TX. but mom fell this morning and I have decided to stay an extra day and go with her and my brother to see her doctor. She seems fine..but part of her problem is from a fall she took and hit her head four years ago. She says, "growing old is a full time job!" I think she is right. My brother also has his mother in-law (95) that lives in a little place on his property too. His mother in-law is a long time gardener. I was disappointed that for the first time in spring I haven't seen her outside racking and watering her plants. She does have beautiful Azelas growing everywhere around the place and Iris and big huge elephant ear plants.
@Clenram: I do agree with your mom. I hope both your mom and your brother's mother-in-law will be fine and can enjoy their gardens for many more years. Have a safe trip home and am looking forward to seeing all of your photographs.
@Clenram: This is a nice photo. A chapter in the life of your meadow? I hope your mother recovers fully.
A fall was my mother's undoing. What followed is too sad to recount. I was lucky to take care of her for half a year before the fall. She had lost the appetite for talking but she was happy to have company and gained weight--I cooked soups with salads, no dessert, but she liked it more than the frozen pot pies and peanut butter and mints that were her diet in the years she was on her own).
@Groundskeeper: I am certainly hoping she has a few more years. My mom was such an inspiration to me and many others. It is so good that you got to spend time with your mom while she was here. You can never replace time with loved ones!
@Queen_of_Green: I finally am back on line. It will take me some time to catch up. I will also need to go through my pictures. It is nice to be back home.
