I grew this last year.  Make sure you harvest the pods early.  Save the pods that are too big for seeds for later.  I fried mine.

@jhammond:  I pickle them when they are not bigger than two inches.  They are wonderful and everyone ask for them as presents.  We also pickle the cucumbers, but the okra goes first!
