I got enough cucumbers from the low field today to make a cucumber salad for lunch! Happy Days!

WOW! They look wonderful! I think that I will start some cucs to grow in a container today. I can move it into the garage when its too cold. Does anyone know why some cucs curl like that? Are they lacking something?

@gailsgarden: I don't know for sure, but I read that if you trellis your cukes, and let them grow upward, that they will grow straight as opposed to with a curve in it.

@linzelu100: I have some on trellis ...I will have to see if that is right....but yes these were on the ground.

mmmm..... cucumber sandwiches
Clenram replied about 1 year ago
@RoriTx: What do you put on your cucumber sandwich?
RoriTx replied about 1 year ago
@Clenram: Cucumber & thinly sliced red onion. I like a balsamic vin...& olive oil dressing with a few crushed herbs. Gary like mayo but I'm not a fan. Honey mustard I like too. My neighbor puts a cream cheese spread in with them. I like that too.

Do you can pickles?
Clenram replied about 1 year ago
@JMTKMS:  Yes we do a bunch of pickles.  I was looking at the low field and thought I can get one good jar of pickles about 11/2 inches long now...but I need to wait until I have about 15 jars so I only have to make one batch of the juice.  :)
