Out for a while

By: Clenram
May 09, 2012
Going to have the dreaded Colonoscopy and starting Prep now.  Those of you having experience with the procedure (Important no doubt) know that I will be out of it for a couple of days.  I have been having trouble with the notifications and keeping up with them on YGS.  I am going to go back to my email notifications ..it will take more time but I will not skip people like I am now.  I do hope to get back with all my YGS friends ASAP.  I think you are all terrific and SMART people!   Happy Growing!

I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you ... hopefully your appointment is early (get it over with & don't have to wait through the inevitable running behind that comes with later apptmts.).

@vanna516: I hope the procedure goes well. Drinking a gallon of Colite is a small ordeal for me but Loulou can barely stand it. For her, by comparison, the colonoscopy is a breeze. I think it is too, thanks to the sedative. But we're all different. Good luck, good outcome.

A close friend has had a Colonoscopy. The Prep is really important because if it is not done well, they will not get a good result and may want to re-do the test. I hope this is just a "routine" exam. At least its only day surgery and you get to come home and eat your good food and not hospital food. Maybe it should be a rule that all hospitals must have gardens and grow their own vegetables.

@gailsgarden: My son said the same thing...about hospitals needing gardens

I hope it's a preventative exam, and all is well! The prep is no fun, but it's important and well worth it for your health's sake. I hope all goes well... I'm looking forward to hearing from you again soon! :)

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone!  I am fine!  I don't have to do that again for five years!  I was having to go do that every year until now.  I am so happy!  I am sure that eating more home grown veggies is the key!  Happy Day!

@Clenram:  Good food and a good outlook are amazing for so many ailments.... If only others would catch on.  :)  Glad you are well.
