No rain yet, but only 86 degrees! That is 20 degrees cooler than last week!
JMTKMS replied 12 months ago
Wow, 106 sounds horrible.... but 86 is my favorite temp, with no humidity.  Hope you get some rain... Good luck.
SweetDomesticity replied 12 months ago
Glad you are getting some relief - hopefully it will continue for a while!

I think you can keep these down there. I've been busy chasing down horned chicken candy.
gailsgarden replied 12 months ago
Oh, thank heavens for long cold winters......
gailsgarden replied 12 months ago

So sorry that your gardens have to cope with all of these critters. When it is -30 I will think of all your yukky bugs and smile.

Dumb question of the day....Can you eat goose eggs just like chicken eggs?
jupiter replied 12 months ago

Living where y'all live, I feel that your wishing for rain better clarify "how much rain" do you want......  It is scary when you get rain...lots of rain...wind...thunder....hail..... so be careful.  :)
Clenram replied 12 months ago
Rain= 1/16 of an inch.  It was nice, not enough not enough, but temperature drop 10 degrees.  We sat outside and breathed.  Wonderful night.  More rain?
Queen_of_Green replied 12 months ago

The rain has come very close to us. But not a drop. Most of my time is spent trying to save some of the plants.

Those are the dreaded tomato hornworm.  I would look for them early in the day and hand pick them off.  Do you have any hens??  They love tomato hornworms.

Bummer :(  Is this usually when your growing season slows down, or is this early this year?  Seems like we're warming up ahead of schedule up here this year.
