Ugly Duckling...  I think it is soooo cute.  Kinda looks like our puppies that were born yesterday..  I will post a picture.  How many kittens were born?  All calico?  If only they  could all stay as babies.

I am glad to see YGS back up.  I was sad to hear that the host site (Rackspace) here in San Antonio was to blame.  I hope they make it up to YGS.  Jesse is already outside trying to figure out a drainage area for the squash garden because a little part of the wall fell because of the rain run off last week.  Not big and the... ...see more

Great photo. I see a conscious goal of leading the eye into the distance and deepening the space with the branches in the left foreground. Bravo!

This seemed to grow a lot while I was gone.

Oh, this is a tough one! It could be 'Henderson's - Charleston Wakefield' or possibly 'Early Jersey Wakefield'. Do you remember planting either of those varieties?

Beautiful! I have seen these in Arizona in full bloom, it's just gorgeous! We don't have the right climate to grow them up here, so thank you for posting this photo! :)
Liz replied about 1 year ago
Beautiful photograph!  I'm looking forward to seeing photos with the flowers open.
JMTKMS replied about 1 year ago
We had ponegranate plants in our neighborhood in Utah, I was just amazed when I found out they were pomegranates. I never saw the flower.  How pretty, and odd.  Looks like you could eat it.

LOL!   I just ordered 12 of the Texas Tomato Cages yesterday - can't wait to use them this year for the varieties that go crazy.

You are so lucky to already have tomatoes forming.  It will be a long time for us!

Lucky you! It's usually late July or August before we get any fresh tomatoes!

RoriTx Actually beat my post about our meeting on her site here:http://www.yourgardenshow.com/users/RoriTx/gardens/east-texas/activities/81088She said her granddaughter  Laynie, (just turned two) "was not on her best behavior."  I have to disagree! It is so nice to be able to use the YGS again. It took me 2 hours to go through my notifications that I could not see at my mom's. I am going to enjoy catching up with everyone!

Another day at my Brothers Mar 25, 2012
Activity-icon-status

I woke up to find my mother laying on the floor of her bathroom.  Luckily her little dog jumped on my bed and woke me up.  She was not hurt, her head hit a pkg. of toilet paper that I had not put up!  I have spent a lot of time today holding her hand and talking about many things she remembers.  She is such a great story... ...see more

Thank God for that little dog and especially that your mother is okay! That's a scary way to wake up, for sure. I hope all of you have a better day today!
