I am going to have a lunch for about 10 of my friends tomorrow. I am going to try to have it outside...what are the odds it will rain or the wind will blow too hard?

Same here - we are having people over for St Patty Day / Sam's 18th Bday (or cat)...   I'm really hoping to be able to have our 1st bonfire of the year!!  Got plenty of wood!

Poor baby! Ginger is so cute, and she looks so sweet. I hope she heals quickly and it turns out to be nothing more serious. I say a prayer for her, too. :)

Ginger looks like a Lab. I have a lab mix and her name is Zelda. She just turned 10 in Feb. I hope Ginger is OK. It is so hard to lose a dog --they are like family members. Ginger looks  a lot like Zelda. My best to you.

I am going to try to put the pictures in order of before and after.  Jess made a field in the lowest area of our property.  It has never had anything but wild stuff.  Years of water flowing to this area may make it one of the most fertile of our sand.  It could have every weed seed in the county in it too.  It will be our... ...see more

This sounds great! Keep us posted! You can keep weeds at bay by mulching. Most weeds seeds need light to germinate, so if you cover them up, they don't germinate and if some do, they are easy to pull. ... more »

This is going to look really beautiful with all of those plants growing in it! Nice job!!! :)
Queen_of_Green replied about 1 year ago
I just thought of something that might help you. If you have leaves, grass clippings or straw (or any combination of these) to mulch with, you can build the soil while you are growing these plants. I alway... more »

That is one of the few things I miss about Texas - wildflowers. They are starting to come out here and if we get moisture this weekend we might get a good show but it is always so iffy.
joeythejoe replied about 1 year ago
They are really starting to bloom here, east of Dallas, as we speak. I love the seas of blue and red this time of the year.

I'm going to Llano, Texas at the end of next month - I hope they are still in splendor then too.
