I've been a gardener since the age of 3 (with my dad's influence). I now live on 5 acres in "the original Down East" of NC. Although 2 acres were wooded and 3 acres were nothing but lawn when we moved here 13 years ago, I now still have the 2 wooded acres but have changes the remaining 3 into a 1-acre orchard, a 1-acre wildflower meadow and a 1-acre vegetable garden with chickens and an apiary. Although I've always done medium tunnel gardening over the winter and have produced cold weather vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage and onions over the weinter, this fall I am installing a 10'X12' greenhouse so that...
