It's getting bigger. Presently we have three raised beds in backyard and sideyard , and another raised bed in frond lawn area. I have started using potted spaces for growing vegetable as well. This past fall I built a small growing house on the south side of our home. Plans for future include expanding capacity for growing veggies in front yard area and replacing ornamentals bushes and shrubs with fruit bearing varieties.

Starting more egg plants, Armenian cukes, while putting in the same varieties in the ground. Also planted some radish seeds and bok choi, scallop squash, bell peper and slicing cucumber seeds in pots. I know I am over planting seeds but I'll have people who a HAPPY to have me give them plants. I am meeting more and more people... ...see more |

Prepared planting holes for boxwood and upright rosemary shrubs today. Irrigation circuit is in and holes loaded with planting soil. This evening we had a nice drenching rain. So unusual this rain, that most people in the neighborhood were standing (undercover of garage or house entry way) and watching this rare event. WOW! Better... ...see more |

Today most all of my plants (veggie & flowering) are experiencing the first rain since back months ago. Many of the vegetable plants have never experienced rain water. The rains are falling today! YEAH!!! |
