Carol, I love a landscape with different grasses. How are they doing? And how are the hydrangeas? That is the crop of the week here in San Francisco, especially since 'the world' crookedest street' is planted with hydrangeas of every description.

Thanks for the tour. I hope you'll show us the gardens again when they're full grown. You said at one point, the fire pit is "The best room in the house." That is food for thought. How many ways can a certain spot in the yard be a room?

I love a combination of grasses, and you have the most beautiful setting for them in the back. I love the way the way the plantings become more and more 'tame' as you get near the house. On a non-plant note, I would live at that firepit too!!
