Here's a colorful cultivar of staghorn sumac (Rhus typhina) that has bright yellow-green leaves and turns brilliant red in fall. It's known as 'Bailtiger' and 'Tiger Eyes.' I fell for it the minute I saw it. Such romances are among the many rewards of a visit to a botanic garden. For more about the plant in the plant database of YourGardenShow.com, click here. For a nursery that offers this plant, click here. You may have to order through a retail nursery. I haven't found other sources but I'm sure they are out there. Anyone have a suggestion?
