Every spring bulbs and perennials that I've forgotten re-appear and ask, "What's my name?" Some years the label is still in place, most years not. With bent wire and bits of aluminum, I made "permanent" markers for a few years but somebody always stepped on them or scuffed them away. The "somebody" is probably me. Without a label, some plants baffle me, like this one. Did I plant it? When? I'm pretty sure it's Camassia (Camassia leichtlinii), a hardy bulb native to the northwestern U.S.. This one has six flower stems and is at full bloom, with more flowers to come.
