How do these flowers work? Do they make seeds? This is pachysandra terminalis, a groundcover that spreads by roots (maybe seeds too?). When the flower stalk is young, the flowers look like white tubes with brown tips. They've been visible for two weeks and the petals have moved apart and it looks like maybe stamens and pistils are growing in the center of the flowers. Does anyone know something about all this? I think I'll take a really close look with a loupe later this morning. Meanwhile, this is the closest look I have.

Looked it up. It seems these are male flowers, no mention of female flowers. Still, is there a botanist in the house?
