This tiny tableau is as nearly perfect as any part of the garden, any part of any garden I've ever made, and it's teaching me a big lesson--that a bed just three feet by six feet can have as much beauty as a garden of any size (and choosing plants, or changing your mind about plants, is more fun than work, so you can keep going until you're happy). For tags, mouse over the photograph at full size. I'll just say that the contrasts of leaf colors, shapes, textures and sizes are the main beauty of this tableau.
