I am glad you enjoyed the various plantings........we didn't even get to the dolichos lab lab climbing the trellis along with the malabar spinach!  What a wonderful time of season to reap what we have sown!  Bloom On!

great idea to pair the penstemmon and bulbs. And Husker Red has always been such a generous plant for me -- 3 season interest, long bloom period, vigorous, and disease resistant. Because we have moved a ... more »

I never heard of the husker red penstemmon. I will have to look into adding that to my garden. especially if it's hardy and blooms for a long period.
