As soon as we bought our house in 2009, we plunged knee deep into starting our garden. Interior upgrades usually take backseat to our garden and outside projects. We garden with raised beds (clay soil, say no more!) and all naturally, not using pesticides or herbicides. We compost to supply our soil needs and have a rabbit and chickens to help give us extra compost material. We collect rainwater and use irrigation drip tubes to supplement our water requirements. Fresh produce is the best, but we also preserve (freeze and can) so it lasts all winter! Since we live in the Sunny South, we are going to try a...
