Grrr cold

Ok.  Last night was about 35 degrees and tonight is supposed to hover at 32.  I covered both my new astilbe and the growing rhubarb plants and mulched a barrier around the edges to make sure neither freeze.

It is supposed to warm back up later in the week.

I hear ya!  Monday the 26th was a bad night for us in CNY.  My husband and I covered up our one peach tree in sheets in a desperate attempt to keep the frost off.  We hit 20 degrees!  Central NY is huge apple country and all the farmers were out burning hay and smudge pots to keep the trees as warm as they could.  Good luck keeping everything warm!
