It is a beautiful day, andsupposed to hit 80+ this afternoon... We are loving it. John planted mega amounts of Watermelon and Cantaloupe (type) melons yesterday. Time to get growing!

I had to put on a sweatshirt this morning when I went outside. That was a shocker.

@RoriTx:  It was cooler here too.  I think maybe they will change the 100 degree day next week.  I hope so.

@Clenram:  Funny, you are looking for cooler weather and we are looking for warmer.  Sure wish I could take a cross-country garden viewing trip from west coast to east coast, right about now and see and feel all the differences first hand.  It would be such a great trip.

How strange how the weather is working in circles.  We all have to wait our turn for the "good" weather.

People grow a lot of Watermelons here.  I planted cantaloupe last week but Jess added more dirt today..I have no idea where they will pop up.

@Clenram:  No, disorganized again?!?  I think it is your secret plan... That way you get more surprises!  :) :)   John will babysit all his melons... He loves to watch them grow, each step of the way.  The melons are his babies!  Thank goodness he shares.

Congratulations...!  Have you decided what to plant?  Is David going help maintain it?  I bet Jay would help alot too, he is so Health Minded.  Be sure to post pictures as you go.  I am very excited to see.  Remember... Radishes first for the boys, they will be so excited to see them grow!
