Sure seems sturdy, but then I have never see a light weight pressure cooker. My dad use to make popcorn on the stove in the pressure cooker pan (he did not pressure cook it). I can remember trying to lift it to wash it, and it was "way" heavy for me... but I was probably 10 years old.
@RoriTx: Me too! And, in my opinion, my dad made the best! We were not allowed to have butter on it in the living room, but with dads popcorn we did not need butter. He always said the pressure cooker pan worked best because it was so heavy and it made the heat even. He wore out 1 -2 burners on the stove, tho, cause the pan was so heavy and he would shake it as it popped. :) Memories!
I have not, yet. I was going to use it on the beets, but we ate to many of them. I am still waiting to get a big enough harvest of something, that I could fill enough jars to make it worth it. It will be soon tho, the carrots and the green beans are starting to really take off.
Yes, I have read away and I keep reading. I feel confident that if I have any questions that I could ask Rori (East Texas) and she would be helpful. I know it will just take a few times, to get use to it.
