First picture: guess it is spinach (New Zealand) - had thought it was a beet.  I did read up on it now, and it is quite an interesting plant.  Heat resistant, can be used as a living mulch, re-seeds itself and is very easy to grow in any soil.  It is not actually a Real Spinach, but is similar.  Personally, I did not like the taste... I will try it in a salad and see how that goes.
Second picture - both spinach side by side.  Amsterdam (very good) and New Zealand (not so good)
Third picture - both beets side by side... look similar but are two different kinds.    
I am glad to have all these guys straightened out.  Funny that the beet leaves tasted better than the New Zeland spinach, that I thought was a beet.  Learn something new every day!
