Beautiful!  How were they to grow?  I considered adding them to my garden this year, but they didn't make the final cut because it seemed like the mounding might get a little fussy.

Poor John had to work late last night, he did not even get home till after 8pm.  And then, he had to be to work by 5am this morning.  That means we were up till about 10/11pm and up again by 3:45am...  So, it is now 8 am and I am tired.  I also noticed that I was getting a cold sore... yuck... Yesterday, the leaves were all down and the flowers had not bloomed.  The ground felt damp under the top layer, so I am not sure why it faded so quickly.  This morning, after a long evening ... more »

I know Preying Mantis are "good bugs", but when they are full grown and one jumps on to you,  it can be VERY scary!  I hear they can bite... but fortunately, I have not given one the chance!  :) :)

Thank you Corona tools for being a YGS sponser!  I told John when this contest started that I would really like to win some little garden tools... I had sadly gone "cheap" when I bought mine last year, and most had broken while I tried to use them.  :(   But, now, I am very, very happy... and excited to go do some weeding!... ...see more
