This "wild" side of the tomato fence is really quite the jungle. It has branches everywhere and John will hate it because it makes it hard to mow the grass walkway. The tomatoes are beautiful, ... more » |

The pruned side of the tomato fence is so much easier to see the fruit, it is all getting lots of sunshine and I am hoping will ripen faster than the Un-pruned side. Maybe it will help spread out the... more » |

It really was a productive day, but it was alot of long hours outside and we are all so worn out. I was just looking at dragonfly pictures on YGS, and then went outside and saw one! We usually have lots of them, and they are generally so friendly you can almost stick your had out have 2 of them land on you,... But the one I just saw is people shy, or maybe just camera shy. But, he would not land or hold still for a... ...see more | |
I saw a dragon fly yesterday too! They are way to fast to photograph. You have to find one sleeping. They really should be advising you ahead of time when ever they are going to spray. That stuff ... more » |
| When we traveled cross country this was the saddest sight I saw....the planes spraying. |

We started this garden in 2010 and could not believe the harvest!!! We expanded in 2011 and now we are exhausted because the harvest was so much more. We are completely organic and feel that this is so helpful for our family. GMO foods are causing us (our family) many allergy problems and we are trying to get away from them completely. We harvest, freeze, can and dehydrate all our produce. So far we have done well and are continuing to try to have our produce last all year till the next harvest.
