Sadly, fly season is upon us now, also!  We will be getting the fly predators from Spalding, again this year.  We used them last year and it was wonderful!  Still a few more than we liked, so we will increase our shipments this year, but it was an amazing difference from the previous 2-3 years!  I would have to say that the flies were decreased by at least 80% and that is a lot of flies when you have horses and cows!

Looks similar here, except no actual greenhouse outside.  Ours is set up inside on top of the low bookshelves by the windows.  We are also watering with pop bottles, with spray tops screwed on them.  I agree about the cups making the space seem to shrink.. that was one reason I was convinced to put out the first six big tomatoes today - to use the cups for some up and comings that need room to expand.  Yours look excellent, growing really well! Sure feel like this tree/bush is blooming earlier this year.  I did not see a single bee when I went out to take these pictures, yet last year when it was in bloom, it was humming with so much bee activity that I was afraid to get too close!  Guess I better get over to my Lilac site and update the information. :)

Greenhouse (milk jugs) are still a big favorite over here.  They have really proven themselves by increasing the size and speed of growth of the plants we use them with.    Look at that swiss chard, it is regrowing from last year.  I did not realize that it would do that.  They sure are hardy!

Well, we have a new animal addition to our little farm... Meet New Jersey...  He is currently being bottle fed by Morissa and John.  We had hoped that Clara would take him, but no such luck.  Harley and Stripes liked him right away and realized that NJ would be a good "sleeping" companion.  :) :) :)  This is a "Beef" cow, but Morissa is trying to train it so that she can sell it as a rodeo trick cow.  We will have to wait and see what happens.  The Birds have been here the last few weeks and it is really kinda scary when you see this many together......  Oh, the ;taco bread was wonderful so I just thought I would share.  I guess this picture does not really fit in with the rest, but oh well.  This was made to copy a picture my daughter sent me.  I just made my standard bread recipe and filled it with 2 pounds of taco meat and baked... then added the bowl of sour cream, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and avocados...  it sure went fast. :) (less)
