| The first picture shows a handful of the big beets that survived the farmers over-spray, the beets in front of "John's gardening equipment" show the size of the replacement plants. Glad we are getting some green going in the garden again. |

| If they work well for the animals, then next year I want to line all our pasture fences with them... basically plant anywhere I can, and just pull and feed all the time. I hope they winter well. |

| I am concerned with wintering, as they push themselves out of the ground, which is nice for picking them, but it might not be to good for cold weather. |

We started this garden in 2010 and could not believe the harvest!!! We expanded in 2011 and now we are exhausted because the harvest was so much more. We are completely organic and feel that this is so helpful for our family. GMO foods are causing us (our family) many allergy problems and we are trying to get away from them completely. We harvest, freeze, can and dehydrate all our produce. So far we have done well and are continuing to try to have our produce last all year till the next harvest.
