Yesterday I harvested a bunch of carrots. They should all be danver half longs (which is funny cause they are all about a foot long) but one of them had a particularly bushy top, some of the leaves on the top looked like carrots and some like parsnips, all on the same plant. The rood smells and looks like a parsnip. So weird.... ...see more

Figured out the other day how much water it would take to water the entire garden with 1 inch. My garden is roughly 500 sq ft, which equates to 311 gallons of water per week. Or 12 1/2 of my rain barrels. I've only got three rain barrels though.
