I love my Chickens, they  helped with the grasshoppers last year a lot. I also love having fresh eggs in the morning, they are definitelyÂ... must have.:)

Do the cats in the neighborhood bother your chickens?  I'm seriously thinking of getting some.

No, mainly due to my dog Blue, who protects those chicken as if they were his best friends. Chicken aren't to messy, friendly and quite personall... funny.

@Clenram: Coops can be quite simple to make. I hope you get some Chicks, they are such amazing Birds.

Oh how sweet!  What tips do you have for those of us who will start raising chicks next year?

If you have them free range, protect your seedlings, cause they will peck your beans or peas right out of the ground.
