I've never seen these before. Are they for keeping the tomatoes warm in the early spring?

They are called walls of water and they work great for keeping warm, warmer weathered plants  in early spring. Here in Logan UT we safely can't plant tomatoes outside until late May unless you have something to protect them from late freezes.

@Jentheo:That is a really great invention! We don't usually get freezes this late here, but sometimes one will sneak up, so it is nice to know something like that is available.
