What is with this weather? we are going to hit 86 degrees today we shouldn't be hitting that until late May! Where is my spring?
Waldron Garden Of Love replied about 1 year ago
I think your spring made it's way over here. it's been raining the past two days

I think the girls are going to get the slip and slide out while I pull some weeds. I really need to get my zucchini, pumpkin, watermelon, and Armenian cucumbers seeded.

You deserve it.  I did get rid of some hollyhock plants this weekend with folks coming for more tomorrow.

I have always wanted to set up and plant trade, when everyone is dividing their plants.

Grand kids are the greatest!  My Grandsons were here for a week, and now they are gone, sure miss them.  Wish we all lived close.

Planting some more onions and some tomatoes! Question: What do you like to use to help support your tomato plant? such as pole, cages or anything else, What works the best?
JMTKMS replied about 1 year ago
We put up a tomato fence, and plan to put up a second one so we can rotate them with cucumbers (or?).  We just plant the tomatoes a little bit in front of the wire fence and used string to t... more »

I use some tall, heavy duty cages (spending the extra money on the larger, heavy duty ones is worth every penny), but I also reinforce the cages with several tall stakes to make sure they won't topple over... more »

Saturday is Earth day! What are your plans to celebrate our Beautiful Earth?
Clenram replied about 1 year ago
Maybe play in the earth? Plant some beans?  Is there a tradition?
Jentheo replied about 1 year ago
I'm thinking of giving away some of my tomato plants to some people, we are also going to our town Earth Day celebration.
Liz replied about 1 year ago
We are picking up our bees!  There is an Earth Day celebration in downtown Monroe, but I don't think we'll make that.  It's windy again and rainy.....not the best day for putting 2 swarms of bees into their new homes or an Earth Day celebration.

I've decided to Theme my garden. "A place of imagination". This is a garden dedicated to my children, for that is who I'm growing it forward for. If you have any creative Ideas for this Garden them, please share. Thank you all for helping and inspiring me

Great Idea I think I will, The girls would love helping with that project. I think they will get a kick out of helping me pick out the plants that match the colors.
Thank you.
