I've been remiss in my journaling, tsk tsk tsk. Where to start? How 'bout flowers -

Van Gogh sunflowers are blooming, beautiful but smaller than expected. Also poor germination. Out of 20+ seed only got 8 plants. Don't know if it's worth trying to save seed.

Stupid heat! I guess the positive thing is that I have to eat a LOT of salad this week or lose the remaining crop - and that would be like spitting in the face of the garden gods. It looked so promising...but just sprinkles for us in Surprise. :( It rained in downtown Phoenix when I was at work on Friday night, but I got home to dry ground. Had just enough sprinkles overnight to make the car look really bad, but not enough to water the garden. Augh! Back up in the 90s this week, so I may have to start...
