Happy Bastille Day!  Today I was fortunate enough to harvest 4 pickling cucumbers and 3 different types of hot peppers - those will be put to use in tomorrow's garden dinner (I'll go heavy on the cukes and light on the hot peppers!).  I also found one ripe raspberry, which I promptly ate in the garden. 
I almost forgot to mention that my community garden neighbors and I have recently spotted the cucumber theif - a rather speedy and clever squirrel.  This particular creature likes to chip away at the skin and eat the interior of the cuke, leaving a scattered carcass for us poor gardeners to lament over.  Anyone else having problems with squirrels?
