Everything came out early down here in Texas too. It has definitely been an early jump on spring. Some of my gardening friends and myself already have tomato blooms!Great photo!
@Sophora:  I am worried that the tomato plants here are going to get too hot in May!  I actually planted some tomato plants in the shade this year.  I know they usually like direct sun, but going to try many differentÂ... to grow them this year.Â
@Kristen:Yes.I hunt mushrooms as well...and have been a forager/gatherer since back in my childhood with my grandfather. Along with the mushrooms I gather Spring Greens, Wild Asparagus, Chicory, wild blackberries and raspberries, brown (wood) mushrooms, Oyster mushrooms, black walnuts, hickory nuts, Wild onion and garlic, sassafras, mulberries and tiny wild strawberries. Used to hunt (rabbit and squirrel and quail) but unable to do so these days.
Everything is blooming early in MI as well.....beautiful weather for 2 weeks, anywhere from 60s through high 80s.....but it is in the 40s this morning and looks like it will be like this all week:(
