Fenway Park Open House - up close and personal
Apr 19, 2012

The Red Sox owners opened up Fenway last week to the public...9am to 7pm. It was a nice gesture given that the next day was the pending 100th Anniversary celebration (I am sure that those working at Fenway weren't so happy...but thousands of fans young and old were delighted!). As I live right next to the park, I headed over there in the late morning thinking that I could just breeze right through the self-guided tour...no chance of that happening as I encountered thousands of families taking advantage of a free entry to Fenway during school vacation week. I did get lucky and decided to check out the visitors locker room and dugout, which put me on the field in line a bit further than if I had started at the beginning. My main objective was to get close to the Green Monster and take some closeups of the dented wall, the warning track, and the scoreboard - mission accomplished! I hope that you enjoy the photos. If you'd like any copies, I would be happy to email them to you.
