Our old farmhouse sits on an acre and a half of gardens with an old barn as its background. The house has many window boxes with a variety of flowers. There is a large pond with a waterfall designed by my husband. The pond is by a patio with a Victorian style gazebo which is surrounded with flowers in shades of pink, purple, and white. A variety of gardens can be found on our "little heaven on earth"

Sowed the following seeds today: 1 pkg each of Lobelia Rainbow Cascade mixed, Meconopsis Grandis ( a blue poppy), Leonotis Leonurus 'Staircase', Helianthus Maximiliani (hardy perennial), Coleus Wizard mixed, and Viola Tiger Eyes. |

I take it that Helianthus Maximiliani is a maximillian sunflower? Those grow soooooo big. Be prepared to stake them because they grew about 9 ft, maybe even 10, when I grew them. |

Today I replanted my Balcon Geranium cuttings that I rooted into bigger pots.
I also sowed the following seeds: 2 pkg. Petunia Salmon Velvet, 2 pkg. Petunia Cascade Orchid Mist, 1 pkg. Impatiens Envoy Peach, 1 pkg. Viola Tricolour, 1 pkg. Viola Penny Peach Jump Up, and 1 pkg. Phlox of Sheep.

I ordered veggie seeds today from Renee's Garden.....beans, beets, cucumbers, lettuce, snow peas, peppers, spinach, squash, and tomatoes. I also ordered chard. My friend's daughter makes chard chips and I want to make some this year. |
