Wow!  Any idea what the cultivar is?  Are they hard to grow?

@lfin: I do not know the name of this particular clematis.  I usually buy small pots of clematis at the end of the year when they are marked down.  Unfortunately, they are not named.  If clematis are planted in the sun with their roots mulched, they usually do well.  The small plants that I plant usually take a couple of years before they bloom profusely.

@lfin: I have been going through my seed catalogs and circling different seeds that I would like to try this year when I came across a page on clematis.  "Crystal Fountain" looks a lot like my photo.  My goal for the near future is to make a map of my yard and label everything on paper.  Labels in the yard didn't work for me.

@Liz:Hi Liz, One of the things I like about this site is that I can take a photo of whatever I have planted when and if  I still have the tag, and name it right then and there in my Glog. That way I always have it to refer to.

@TaraGillBotanica...: Thanks....I'm beginning to see how this site is going to be useful to my own gardening.  At first, I was just touring through other gardens, then I started posting my own photos to share,....now I need to go back and label the plants that I know.....and then like you say, record my new plants when I have the tag right in front of me.  I have a whole basket where I have kept my plant tags....this will be so much easier.  I love this site!
