I just saw a beet like this at the Petaluma (CA) Seed Bank...they have unbelievable varieties there.  Go in person if you can or order online (www.rareseeds.com).

It is cold and rainy in Boston today. The rose buds are getting ready to bloom. Hopefully the flowers will be in full force by early to mid June, which will be just in time for the annual Rose Garden party.
